HOLYOKE — April 13, 2026 — Holyoke Public Safety Committee tables Wyckoff Country Club noise complaints, seeks permits and enforcement review. Chair Councillor Anne Tallheimer presided over Monday's meeting, where residents from at least four streets adjacent to the Chicopee-area golf course described outdoor DJ events running five to six hours on Thursdays through Sundays that remain audible with all windows and doors closed, including to a resident more than 200 yards away on Longfellow Drive. Councillor Patty Devine read into the record the city's loudspeaker permit, which limits sound to a 200-foot radius and allows fines from $100 to $300 per violation. Attorney Bessonet, appearing by Zoom, suggested petitioners seek an amendment to Wyckoff's entertainment license conditions to ban outdoor events altogether, describing it as a more reliable enforcement route than the permit. The committee voted unanimously to table the matter pending acquisition of all Wyckoff permits, with a return date of June at the earliest.
