Holyoke Youth Soccer League opens registration for its Fall 2026 season.
HOLYOKE -- Youth sports news was light this week, but the Holyoke Youth Soccer League gave families their marching orders for the fall.
YOUTH LEAGUES -- The Holyoke Youth Soccer League (HYSL) announced that registration for its Fall 2026 season is now open, with pricing and sign-up available through the league's website. HYSL fields teams across a wide range of age groups, including Littlekicks (age 2), Sidekicks (age 3 through pre-K), a co-ed division for kindergarten through grade 2, separate boys' and girls' divisions for grades 3-4 and 5-6, and a co-ed division for grades 7-8. The league is also seeking referees and coaches for the coming season.
HYSL traces its roots to 1963, when it was established by then-Holyoke High School coach Claude Morin. According to the league, what began with four teams on a single field has grown to 54 teams playing across nine fields citywide, with a fall schedule that includes more than 400 games.
No Holyoke High School games were reported for the period, and no additional town recreation or community-league items were available from this week's sources.
